As a child, when my mum asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I said I wanted to be a clown. Yes, I wanted the funny nose and boots but at the core of it, I wanted to make people laugh and be happy, and that part never changed, though I can’t say I want to be a clown anymore. I remember holding a camera in a primary school event, but I wasn’t aware of my fascination with the medium of photography, both still and moving, until high school. After putting a few videos together, the interest blossomed, and I found I couldn’t let it go.

Now, I am a keen and focussed videographer with my own Townsville-based business Hello Blue Productions.

My business began with the hope of capturing special events or stories and showcasing these in a creative and engaging manner. As a local business, Hello Blue Productions specialises in promotional videos for small businesses, recording of corporate events, the production of educational resources, and videos for special occasions such as weddings.

The Main Goal

With over 10 years’ experience in videography, I am passionate about my work and catering to my client’s needs. I have worked with professional athletes, local businesses, educational groups and national organisations including the not for profit sector. I have completed works for the Children’s Cancer Institute of Australia, which included producing videos for their national campaign to raise funds to find a cure for childhood cancer. You can find the video here. I have also completed educational videos in the form of student clinical training aids for James Cook University and North Queensland Community Rehabilitation.

I find a real sense of joy and satisfaction in capturing an experience, piecing it together, and creating a story. The journey in making such a story can be fun, challenging and inspirational.
